ISWP offers the following assessment and related services
Family Contact Services & Welfare Visits
The contact service we provide is contact centre and community based. This service is provided throughout the week. We have a contact facility in Reading Berkshire and we also work in partnership with various family friendly independent contact facilities we use for contact all across UK.
We provide the following services for public and private law family cases:We provide UK-wide contact services - in the community and within a contact centre. We undertake contact via our independent social workers in situations of divorce or and parental separation, parental dispute or where child protection concerns exist. Our ISWs generate reports and make recommendations on future contact. We also undertake contact via our experienced contact supervisors in the community or at family-friendly partner contact centres across the UK. We undertake contact commissioned by LAs, solicitors, CAFCASS, fostering agencies and individual clients. This service is provided in the areas of public and private law. We also undertake wishes and feeling work with children caught up in divorce situations and parental dispute and separation as part of the package of service we provide under our contact service.
LAC Visits, Child Protection Visits and Welfare Visits
We complete welfare visits in situations where they are concerns about child safety and we provide this as back up for LAs during weekends, after-hours and bank holidays.
We also undertake child protection visits and LAC visits as back up to LAs and we provide this service specially to support social work teams to keep up with statutory visits for children placed out of area.
EDT Back Up and Support
We provide back up support to local authority, emergency duty teams services providing emergency intervention such as mitigating placement disruption, emergency welfare visits after-hours and at the weekend and bank holidays, and where there is a requirement to move a child from one foster placement to another. We also provide similar service to fostering and adoption agencies.
Looked After Child (LAC) Visits, Child Protection Visits and Welfare Visits
We complete welfare visits in situations where there are concerns about child safety. These visits can be provided as back up support to local authorities during the Weekends, after-hours, and on bank holidays.
We also undertake child protection visits and LAC visits to support local authorities in maintaining statutory visits to children placed out of their area.
EDT Back Up and Support
We provide additional support to local authority emergency duty teams (EDT), including emergency intervention such as mitigating placement disruption, emergency welfare visits after hours, at weekends, and bank holidays and where there is a requirement to transport a child from one foster placement to another. We also provide a similar service to fostering and adoption agencies.
